"Out of evil, much good has come to me… I always thought that when we accept things they over powered us in some way or other. This turns out not to be true at all, and it is only be accepting them that one can assume an attitude towards them." - From a patient of Carl Gustav Jung (C.G. Jung - Alchemical Studies, p.47)
What I offer
I provide individual psychodynamic psychotherapy for adults.
I am passionate about helping people who are going through emotional struggles and need help with their symptoms. Our sessions together imply hard work from both of us in gaining a deeper understanding of yourself. This, in turn, can help create a better and more positive connection with yourself and with the people around you.
I see patients once or twice weekly for short or long term therapy. After an initial assessment I meet with you at a frequency which seems appropriate to your situation.
The assessment can range up to three sessions with a fee of £35 per session. The £35 assessment fee applies for long term therapy only.
During an initial meeting with the person who is seeking help, we discuss together the nature and commitment of the therapeutic process, the frequency of sessions and fees. I also consider the appropriateness of therapy at this stage in a person’s life.
After the assessment, my general fees range from £55 - £75 per session, depending on income.
I also offer reduced fee schemes but this is also dependent on income.
Once we agree a regular time, we will meet at the same time every week. Sessions last for 50 minutes only.
Since the advent of COVID 19, I am working remotely using Zoom. This will remain a possibility even when it is possible to meet in person.
If you are thinking about having psychotherapy and would like to meet, my private practice is located in London, Croydon area, very close to East Croydon train station.
